Among the many things that Scouting teaches kids, one of the most important is that of service to the community. The Pack performs multiple service projects to support and improve the
neighborhood in which we all live.
Every year, in November, we support the annual Scouting For Food campaign. One Saturday morning, the pack splits up and distributes fliers to every home in the neighborhoods near the school.
Then a week later, they return to those same houses to pick up the bags, filled with non-perishable donations. These are processed and sent to a local food bank. In past years, we've collected
literally TONS of food for area charities.
We also frequently help with watershed cleanups -- picking up trash along the creek behind the school, or while on hikes. We've even helped restore washed-out sections of the trail along Big
Rocky Run.
